Giant iPad preparation from Apple to rival Amazon

Amazon controls 69 percent of the smart home technologies market, which includes smart assistant speakers and displays. Of course, it should not be overlooked that smart assistant speakers are generally used in the USA. After Amazon, the largest share in this market is Google with 25 percent. In this sense, Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman announced that Apple is preparing a giant 15-inch iPad.

Accordingly, Apple is seeking to rival the Amazon Echo Show 15 smart display. Unlike tablets, smart screens act as smart assistants. It is possible to manage everything from security cameras to white goods, which are included in the smart home system, with these screens. It is also possible to access live weather conditions and similar information with the Amazon Echo Show 15 giant screen.

It is claimed that Apple will also produce a smart screen, perhaps a little thicker and wall-mountable, in iPad form. However, it is unlikely that we will come across a giant iPad model among the new iPad models that will appear this year. Mark Gurman announced that this model is still in the research and development stage and can be released as early as 2023.

Considering that smart home technologies are generally popular in the US market, Apple is likely to offer this model to certain markets, just like the HomePod. However, experts are of the opinion that Siri lags behind its competitors in the artificial intelligence algorithm. It seems that Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are more successful, especially under the fact that HomePod is so less preferred.

Even if Apple is preparing the iPad 15-inch, it will have to invest much more in the Siri personal assistant, as it was in the early days. In this sense, according to Mark Gurman, especially in the smart home assistants market, the function of the products is much more important than the design.
